Brighter Futures would like to introduce you to our team - we are here to answer your questions and look forward to getting to know you and your family!
Jane Berggen is our Executive Director. She has a Bachelor of Child Study from Mount St. Vincent University in Halifax, NS and graduated with a double major in Program Development &
Administration and Developmental Disabilities. Jane has over 20 years of experience working in the field of Family Resource, is the mother of 2 teenagers, and has lived in Drayton Valley for over 8 years. Jane brings strong leadership skills to our team and she believes that children and families shape our tomorrow, therefore we need to support and foster positive relationships
between children, parents, and the community.
Our Manager of Planning & Development is Megan Taylor. Megan has previously worked as a kindergarten teacher and brings a wealth of experience to our programs! Megan oversees the program delivery and staff scheduling as well as any partnerships in the community.

Keisha is our Program Coordinator for Breton and Alder Flats programs. She has completed her first year of ELCC and is working towards completing her diploma. Keisha runs our Preschool Gym Programs in Alder Flats every Tuesday and in Breton every Wednesday from 10:00AM to 11:30AM.
Kim is our Program Coordinator for Berrymoor, Rocky Rapids, and Violet Grove programs. Kim runs our Indoor Playground Program in Berrymoor every Tuesday from 10:00AM to 11:30AM, in Rocky Rapids every Wednesday from 10:00AM to 11:30AM, and in Violet Grove every Thursday from 10:00AM to 11:30AM where she provides preschoolers with a valuable experience
in their own communities.
Linda Prentice is our Family Support Coordinator. Linda has a Diploma in Social Work and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our society. The Family Support Coordinator role offers in-home support to parents who seek help in developing their parent-child bond, and/or ensuring that they are offering opportunities for their child to grow to their potential. Linda also works with parents in developing coping strategies and self-care - as we all know - us moms tend to put ourselves last! Parening Workshops are delivered through our Family Support Coordinator role.

Carla is our talented bookkeeper who makes all of our lives so much easier! Carla is available at our Drayton Valley office every Wednesday.
Lisa Cottrell is also part of our team and offers a comprehensive prenatal nutrition support program called Nutritious Beginnings. Her compassion and knowledge offer our participants a safe place to learn about their health and health of their baby.
Rojeau and Gail complete our fantastic team in the role of Childcare Attendants and assist us in our community programs by shaking our sillies out with parents and children in attendance.
We are extremely pleased at the professionalism and level of education that our team offers and encourage you to ask questions, offer input, and share your experiences!
