Our Summer Day Camps were a huge success!
The kids and the staff had a great summer!
Thanks to everyone that showed an interest, made a donation,
and helped make the camps a positive and fun experience!

Behaviour/Guidance Policy

Brighter Futures staff believes in a positive approach when guiding children’s behaviour. Our goal in guidance is to encourage independence. Staff will support the children’s feelings and promote individuality by offering choices in crafts and activities. Brighter Futures staff strives to be respectful, caring, supportive and nurturing. The following expectations have been communicated to all children:

1.      Respect staff and fellow campers

2.      Listen when others are speaking

3.      Try! A positive attitude goes a long way.

In the event of misbehaviour, the following policy will be implemented:

·         Verbal warning

·         Second verbal warning

·         Time out (number of minutes in time out will correspond with the child’s age)

·         Second time out (number of minutes in time out will correspond with child’s age). Manager will be notified and a phone call will go home to the parent.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Megan, Manager of Planning and Development, at 780-514-5070.
